The state Government of Bihar going to launch an ambitious scheme as named Post Matric Scholarship Scheme Bihar. Under this scheme, government would provide financial assistance to SC/ST students. Students who could not get scholarship after the selection for the Central Minority Scheme, they will avail to get benefit of this scheme.
A condition has been laid for the students to take advantage of the Bihar Scheduled Caste Post Metric Scholarship Scheme, that no scholarship has been approved in the past. Of the applications which were given to the Central Government in 2017-18, 30525 students were deprived of scholarship.
According to information received from the Welfare Department Bihar Scholarship, the new scheme of scholarship is completely based on the state, the state government is going to spend more than 80 million rupees for this scheme.

Eligibility Criteria for Post Metric Scholarship Scheme Bihar 2019
- Applicants should be permanent resident of Bihar State.
- The annual income of the applicant's family should not exceed Rs 2 lakhs.
- Applicants must be from an accredited school, college or university.
- Only two students from one family can apply for this scheme.
- Applicants should be related to scheduled caste.
Please tell that post-metric scholarship scheme from the Ministry of Scheduled Tasks is being run from the year 2007-08. Under this scheme, scholarship has been given after selection in the prescribed quota for students from class 11 to PHD. Many times, students of Bihar are not successful on the standards set by the Central Government, and the result is that they do not get scholarship. In view of this situation, the Bihar State Government has decided to give scholarships to the deprived students of state scheme from the state plan for the constraints of the quota.
NIOS DElEd Results 2018: The National Institute of Open Schooling Candidates has declared the NIOS DElEd results 2018 for different courses including 501, 502 and 503 (First Semester) on the official websites www.nios.ac.in and dled.nios.ac.in on August 30.
